The WFAF Credit Repair Process and Features
This program is designed not only to walk our members through rebuilding their credit profile, but to also maintain a healthy credit status for a life time. The amount of time it takes for an individual to successfully rebuild their credit report will vary based on what they have to work with. We ask that each member works with us for a minimum of 180 days to allow the program to be most effective.
SIGN UP
- Initial Credit Exam – One on one session with a credit counselor via webinar
- Detailed evaluation of your credit report explaining the
- Negative items, what they mean, what will be challenged for removal or positive update.
- Positive items in good standing to advise on best practices of payment in order to improve your credit profile and score.
- Outline your progress schedule to ensure you are aware of what steps we are taking on the client’s behalf and what steps the client will need to take and when.
- WFAF sends correspondence to the credit bureaus and creditors on behalf of client as needed.
- The client is responsible for sending all updated credit reports and responses received to WFAF in order for the process to continue.
- 90 Day Check Up – One on one session with a credit counselor via webinar
- Walk the client through pulling their own credit report.
- Review the current credit report against the original to explain the updates and changes that have been completed and show what items are continuing to be challenged.
- Begin the rebuilding process guiding clients through applying to lines of credit that will help them rebuild their score and improve overall credit profile.
- Answer any questions the client has regarding their credit status, classes available in the program and any steps they need to take in order to continually improve their credit profile.
- 6 Month Check Up – One on one session with credit counselor via webinar (Scheduled 6 months after the 90 day check up
- Review of current credit report to identify in new negative items that need to be challenged.
- Follow up on current credit activity for best practice strategies to be implemented.
- Address any questions client has regarding credit activity or potential activity such as the purchase of car, house, personal loans etc.
- Schedule reminder for next 6 month check up.
- Collection Agency Assistance
- Active members can send in notifications received from collection agencies for our review, consultation, and strategy to address issue.
- WFAF will send notifications to collection agencies on behalf of the client.
- WFAF will assist or guide client through negotiating payment and credit report update.
- WFAF Credit Fitness Center
- Active members will have full access to participate in any classes and programs offered virtually at no additional cost. This includes the 43 day Credit Boot Camp, Webinar classes, Special guest webinars, and training videos.
- Active members will have full access to the online tools such as Financial Calculator, Discussion Forum, and Resource Center providing over $750 in Financial Literary E-books.
- Active members will receive discounted rates to any local training classes or events offered by WFAF
- WFAF Credit Counseling Services
- Active members may submit questions to a credit counselor for guidance at any time. Additional one on one counseling sessions if needed are available.
